5 Frame nucleus colonies started in the spring, ready to go home when they are boiling strong. We don't let them leave until they have capped brood, larvae, and eggs. All nucs will have a frame of feed as well. All nucs will be inspected before pickup with the customer and not released unless the customer is happy. By law, the Illinois State Department of Agriculture inspects nucs before they can be sold. The pickup date is typically early May but can vary by spring conditions.
